Live Outside the Box
Today is a challenge designed to make you uncomfortable. I want you to live today outside your own box; to push the boundaries of your comfort zone.
You can decide what this looks like; maybe you will wear something that is off-brand for you, maybe you will participate in something that scares you, maybe you will eat something that doesn’t appeal to your pallet…
You can decide what this looks like.
You can decide how many different ways you wish to accept this challenge, and how many uncomfortable changes you’re willing to take on today.
See how far you’re willing to push the envelope. Start with a small idea that maybe makes you feel a little unsettled, but it feels doable. Then, ask yourself if you’re willing to move it up a notch. See how many notches you can convince yourself to climb.
The second part of this challenge is to see how long you can go through the day without explaining the uncomfortable change to anyone. See how long you can be willing to endure the discomfort without needing to justify it to someone else. Find out how many times you can catch yourself before excusing or explaining the choice and find out how many times, and how many ways you can create a confident reply when asked about the change – a reply that does not excuse, explain or justify the change.
Live outside your box today. See how far you’re willing to take it. At today’s end, explore your feelings on the day, and explore anything you may have learned from the experience.
