Give Yourself A Break
Today, I want you to give yourself a break. Mindfully.
I want to plan out your break; select a chunk of time for it, and block it into your calendar. Select a time you know you have the highest likelihood of successfully enjoying your break within.
Prepare for your break – ask for any necessary favors to allow your break to exist without burdens, distractions, or obstacles that may cut it short.
Visualize what the best break looks like for you – whether it involves candles and a bathtub, a cozy blanket and a tea, a novel and a bar of chocolate, soft music, and a glass of wine… Keep asking yourself questions until you have a perfect idea of what your most satisfying break entails, and do yourself a favor by creating that environment.
Before you begin planning, write down the reasons why you deserve a break. Write down that you deserve it, too.
After you’ve enjoyed your break, read what you wrote. See how you feel afterward.
